Creating strong foundations for launching your promotional micro site

In a recent article on our firstpageseo.co.uk site entitled “Web page optimisation”, we discussed “Web page optimisation, like vehicle maintenance, needn’t be expensive” . We brought forward an example we are currently working on, please read more about the detail above.

One of our clients had a site that we built 4 years ago (before seo was on the agenda), and we gave each page the same title. So the first job to improve their positioning was to re-title the pages and in some cases change the page html name.

The net effect is that where we had 1 page indexed and showing up on page 1 of Google on the 10th July, we now have 4 different pages coming up, on page 1, around key search strings we identified in their market place!

And all we have done is change the page titles...

We’re now in the process of building a new account aimed specifically at the diamond drilling market place. One that represents around 30% of all the searches in their world. Previously they haven’t shown up at the party when construction folk have been searching the web... our vision is that they will shortly. We just need to scribble a few words and knock on the door... watch this space!
